Hmong Corn Bread Recipe: Ncuav Pob Kws

  • 1 bag glutinous flour( green bag)
  • 2 cans of kernel corn
  • Sugar (based on your liking, I used 1 cup)
  • 1 cup of tapioca starch

 



 
 

 
Directions:

1) drain the corn from the can and save the liquid, set aside for later use
2) use blender to blend the corn
3) pour the corn mixture into a bowl and add flour and sugar
4) add a small amount of the liquid from the canned corn to the mixture
4) knead all ingredients until you get a dough
5) break apart and flatten into size you want
6) spray foil sheets with oil and use it to wrap the ncuav
7) place the ncuav in a steamer pot and steam for about 45 minutes to an hour depending how big you made the ncuav
8) Once it’s fully cooked, remove the foil wrap and place the ncuav in a nonstick pan over medium heat, cook until both side turns brown
