Hmong Fried Bananas Recipe

Batter mixture Ingredients
-1 bag of Thai tempura GoGi flour (17 oz – see image below)
-1 1/2 cup glutinous rice flour
-1 can coconut milk
-1 cup sugar
-2 cup water
-1 teaspoons baking powder
-1 table spoon sesame seed
-Pinch of salt

Additional Ingredients
-1 cup of shredded young coconut
-Plantains (do not use bananas or else it will mush up)
-oil for frying

 



 
 

 
Directions
1. Slice your bananas into 2-3 inches
2. Mix all the batter ingredients together and stir well
3. Heat oil and wait until hot
4. Dip bananas into batter and deep fried until fully cooked/crispy yellow
5. Remove bananas and let it cool
6. Sprinkle shredded coconuts onto fried bananas and serve
